For strip flooring, our recommended application is for these floors to be secret nailed. For solid timbers over 150mm wide, we advise they are face screwed and plugged due to their increased instability. For woodblocks standard dimensions are 20mm x 230mm x 70mm however frequently available in varying sizes (please ask for more information). Blocks are adhered to a level subfloor in a pattern, most commonly "herringbone". Both block and strip flooring is then sanded, filled & sealed with a lacquer or oil onsite. It is possible to incorporate various borders and trims, providing one of the most elegant and traditional hardwood floors, adding tremendous style & value to your property. Unfinished floors require sanding and sealing (choose from a variety of lacquers or oils to suit) to be carried out on site.
